2026 Intern- Early Intervention
Description This is not a paid internship positionMHMR's Learning and Development Department offers a wide array of internship opportunities to meet the growing demand for agency supports and services.MHMR interns serve in many ways, from providing administrative support to working in one of the many clinics located in Tarrant County. Internship activities may vary based on the requirements of the students field experience program.This is an experiential position intended to meet practicum and field placement course requirements for degree programs. This placement provides individuals with on-the-job experience to learn role requirements, expectations and apply theoretical knowledge.I) Essential FunctionsFollow and complete duties as assigned.Complete applicable training requirements to participate in internship assignments.II) Knowledge of Laws, Policies/Procedures, Skills, Education and AbilitiesEffective organizational, time management, and communication skills.Knowledge of applicable procedures related to the respective fields of:Child & Family StudiesChild DevelopmentApplied Behavior AnalysisHuman Development and Family SciencesHuman Development & Early Childhood DisordersSpecial Education-Early ChildhoodPsychologySociologyChild LifeIII) Internal & External Customer ServiceThis position requires extensive internal (team members, agency personnel) and external contacts. The position will accomplish this with above average written and oral skills.B) Must demonstrate compassion, trauma-informed care, and safety practices including suicide safe careIV) TravelThis position requires driving to and from locations for work and may require travel to agency program sites. Interns are required to have a license in good standing and be able to be covered by school liability insurance. If personal vehicle is utilized for work travel, then maintaining personal auto insurance coverage is required.Minimum RequirementsRequired EducationCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program.*Affiliation between MHMR and school program neededQualificationsMust be 18 or olderValid Driver's License, Student Visa, or Green CardMust be a student enrolled in a college internship, practicum, or field experience courseMust pass a criminal background history checkMust pass a drug and TB screeningRequired Experience0 year(s)Required Supervisory Experience0 year(s)Testing RequirementsTests including drug and TB screening.Lifting RequirementsNoneAdditional Information
