Job DescriptionResponsibilities:The position will support daily production needs through Quality engineering for Customer’s business unitCollaborate with members of the Customer team to identify gaps to achieve area metricsPerform process capability studies and closely monitor driftsUse Six Sigma, 8D (Eight Disciplines) and other problem-solving tools to get to root cause and resolve quality issues and defectsData acquisition and analysis of quality processes from various sources like Supplier quality, In-process quality, Quality gate, Repair area, Pre-dispatch inspection and Customer qualityGenerate periodic reports and publish reports / results back to the relevant members of the business, as assignedWork alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needsTake directions from the reporting manager to support and execute activities assigned from time to timeWork closely with internal stake holders and lead in resolving the QA Matrix line items relating to MAN/MethodLead in coordinating and implementing Quality related kaizens, process quality improvements in the assigned work group area Assist in CPA (Customer Product Audit) data monitoring and drive countermeasures of the issues reportedAssess current manufacturing stations and identify potential quality improvement opportunities of workstations/cellsSetup rigorous review with internal stake holders and coordinate with cross-functional team to drive the process quality improvementsEnsure tracking and closure of QA Matrix line items by coordinating with cross-functional teamSupport the quality assurance activities assigned by the project manager from time to timeQuality Inspections and Functional TestingDrive continuous improvement and develop processes and documentation consistent with Plant’s standards and requirements related to QualityStrong project documentation skills and communication skills requiredEducation Required:BS/MS in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical EngineeringCompensation and Benefits:Along with competitive pay, as a full-time KPIT employee, you are eligible for the following benefits:Geo Blue PPO and HSA plan.MetLife – Dental and Vision plan.Healthcare and Dependent care flexible spending account(FSA).401k with employer match.Company-paid Basic Life and Long-term disability insurance.Voluntary benefits include Critical Illness, Hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft, and legal service.Employee Assistance Program.Paid Holidays.Employee discounts and perks.Gym benefit.Required SkillsProcess Capability Analysis (Cp/Cpk), Six Sigma & 8D Tools, Data Analysis Tools (Excel/Minitab),Quality Inspection & Testing Tools, QA Matrix & Reporting ToolsSupported SkillsData acquisition
