Solar Survey Technician

This subcontractor role allows you to choose your own hours to fit into your personal schedule. If you are hands-on, enjoy being independent and exploring new areas - you will be a great fit! The successful candidate can expect to travel to residential project sites, in and around the Decatur, IL area to complete data collection to support residential solar installations (100~300 miles radius). Hours are flexible, you provide the times that work for you and the work is recurring year long. This role will be effective immediately, therefore the below documentation should be active or readily reactivated: Drivers license and access to a vehicle are required An active FAA Part 107 license is required Access to a drone (Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic 2 Pro, Phantom 4, Inspire 1 & 2, Mavic Air 2, Autel Evo) is required Responsibilities Operate drone to capture roof photos Use ladders to enter into attics to measure rafter, truss size, and spacing Use hand tools to perform cuts into drywall as needed to measure rafters in inaccessible attics Capture photos of the electrical meter and service panels Handle basic interactions with homeowners in a polite & professional manner Upload deliverables to shared cloud storage in a timely manner Conduct site surveys independently, travel from your own home Skills & Qualifications Written and verbal communication skills in English - Spanish is an asset Construction, handyman, or similar experience is an asset Customer service skills (or similar) are an asset Must have access to a vehicle Unfortunately, at this time, we will not consider re-location for this role.
