ENTRON manufactures electronic CPU based controls for use in automotive, appliance and industrial welding. ENTRON has manufacturing in Greer, SC, and also a site in Dudley, England, U.K.Overall, we are a small team that is able to make quick decisions and act fast to capitalize on market opportunities.OverviewThe position is responsible for designing and developing electronic control units for the resistance welding industry. The Electronics engineer plays a key role in the product development process, by developing and validating prototypes, refining the design into a scalable solution, and finally launching products into full-scale production. The engineer will lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams, lead manufacturing scale-up of new and updated products and complete other activities necessary for successful New Product Introductions.Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:Embedded systems design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits related to existing and new products. Design of microprocessor interface circuits to external systems. Review and understand customer technical specifications and industry standards regarding technical requirements (materials, qualification, and performance requirements) of the productHardware / firmware design of PCBAs for productsDesign, validate and maintain GUI software for product interfacesDevelop testing procedures for new PCBAsJob Type:Full-timeThis position will be located in Greer, SCAt ENTRON we understand that our success is in our employees, and our philosophy is to hire extraordinary people and position them for success. Design, analysis, debugging, testing, and updating digital electronic systems and components (PCB/PCBA). Design of test/validation procedures for digital electronic systems and components. Experience with Altium Designer. In-depth knowledge of C/C++, Visual Basic, and JavaIn-depth knowledge of electronicsKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite of ProgramsIn-depth knowledge of electronics test equipmentIn-depth knowledge of component selectionAbility to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
