Crestmark Millwork thrives on tackling creative challenges to deliver exceptional solutions for our clients.Assistant Project Manager (Path to Project Manager) – Crestmark Millwork (Arcata, CA)Crestmark Millwork is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to support and grow into a full Project Manager role. This position is designed for someone who wants to take ownership of commercial millwork projects and develop into a leader responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality.You will work directly with Project Managers across all phases of a project—from preconstruction through closeout—gaining hands-on experience in coordination, procurement, scheduling, and client communication.What You’ll DoAnalyze plans and specifications to define project scope (finishes, hardware, equipment)Manage submittals, samples, and approval workflows with clients and internal teamsReview shop drawings and ensure alignment with scope and design intentTrack schedules and help drive project milestones in Monday.comDraft and manage RFIs to resolve design and field issuesSupport purchasing (material takeoffs, RFQs, POs) and vendor coordinationCoordinate packing lists, shipments, and material readinessAssist with material receiving and inventory trackingWhat You BringStrong organization and attention to detailClear communication and ability to follow throughProblem-solving mindset and ownership mentalityProficiency with Excel and project management tools (Monday.com a plus)Construction or millwork experience preferred, but not requiredWhy This RoleClear path to Project Manager with increasing responsibilityExposure to full project lifecycle in a growing companyOpportunity to develop leadership and ownership of projectsRole DetailsFull-time, Arcata, CA (occasional travel required)Typical hours: 7am–4pm, with flexibility as neededCompensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (DOE) + healthcare and Simple IRA
