Lucid TherapeuticsSanta Barbara, CA  |  In-PersonCare Coordinator & Lucid AssistantPart-time (25–40 hrs/week) · Path to full-time · Compensation DOEAbout the RoleLucid Therapeutics is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional to fill a newly combined role: Care Coordinator and Lucid Assistant. This is a patient-facing, in-person position at our Santa Barbara mental health clinic, and it is central to the day-to-day experience of every patient who walks through our doors.You will be the first person patients interact with when they arrive, and one of the key people keeping clinic operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This role blends front-of-house care coordination with hands-on clinical support, and it is best suited for someone who thrives in a structured, professional medical environment and genuinely enjoys working with people in a meaningful healthcare setting.Schedule & HoursThis is a part-time, in-office position (approximately 25 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time role as our operations expand. This role is essential to daily clinic flow and is responsible for opening and/or closing support, meaning this team member will be the first to arrive and the last to leave on scheduled days.Required availability includes:Morning availability starting as early as 8:45 AMEvening availability as late as 5:30 PM, with some days extending to 7:30 PM as clinic hours expandFull-day, in-office presence on scheduled shifts (this is not a remote role)Additional considerations:Schedule will be set but evolving, based on clinic growth and coverage neededFlexibility is essential, particularly for early mornings and early eveningsFuture weekend availability is strongly preferred as weekend hours are introducedCompensation & BenefitsCompensation depends on experiencePart-time to start, with a structured path to full-time within approximately 3 monthsOnce full-time: healthcare coverage, paid vacation, and 10 paid holidaysWhat You’ll Be DoingCare Coordination & Front DeskGreet and check in patients warmly and professionallyManage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-upsCollect copays and handle payment processingMonitor and respond to patient messages and calls via SprucePrepare and distribute the daily workflow sheet to clinical staffUpdate patient statuses and tasks in ClickUp throughout the dayComplete post-MA tasks for Medical AssessmentsClose all communication loops in Spruce at end of dayComplete daily invoicing and flag any incomplete items for follow-upClinical SupportAssist with rooming patients and supporting patient flow during appointment runsTake and record patient vital signs (training provided)Retrieve pharmacy medications for the day from the med room and note inventory changesPrepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians as neededAdminister medications as directed during appointment runsMaintain a calm, professional, and compassionate clinical environmentTeam OperationsParticipate in the daily team huddle to review appointments, room assignments, and patient needsAssign patients to specific team members as part of the huddle processStay aware of team needs throughout the day and step in to support wherever neededWho We’re Looking ForPrior experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare-adjacent role strongly preferredExceptional dependability — consistent, on-time attendance is essential to this roleStrong attention to detail, especially in documentation and patient communicationComfortable with structured clinical protocols and professional boundariesWarm, patient-facing presence — you enjoy being the first face people seeProficient with digital tools; experience with Spruce, ClickUp, or similar platforms a plusLooking for a long-term role, not a short-term or transitional positionAbout Lucid TherapeuticsLucid Therapeutics is a patient-centered mental health clinic offering integrative and psychedelic-informed care in Santa Barbara, CA.
