This is a rare opportunity to join a proven platform with deep operational infrastructure, while playing a key role in shaping its next phase of institutional evolution.The RoleWe are seeking a Principal / Managing Director to lead the full lifecycle of investments—from sourcing through exit—while helping drive strategy, portfolio performance, and firm growth. This individual will operate with significant autonomy and have direct impact on investment outcomes and platform development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead investment origination, evaluation, and execution across special situations and complex transactionsOversee full deal lifecycle: financial modeling, diligence, structuring, and negotiationDrive value creation initiatives across portfolio companies (growth, operational improvements, margin expansion)Partner with leadership to shape investment strategy and firm positioningBuild and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries, lenders, co-investors, and management teamsMentor and develop junior investment professionalsEnsure disciplined underwriting and portfolio performance trackingQualifications10–15+ years of experience in private equity, M&A, or principal investingProven track record of sourcing, executing, and exiting lower middle-market dealsExperience with special situations, carveouts, distressed, or complex transactionsStrong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical expertiseDemonstrated ability to drive operational value creationEstablished network across the deal ecosystemLeadership experience managing and developing teamsMBA preferred; CFA/CPA a plusWho You AreEntrepreneurial, with a builder mindset and desire to help scale a platformComfortable balancing autonomy with collaborationPassionate about unlocking value in complex or under-optimized businessesStrong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with investors and operatorsCompensation: $350,000 Base SalaryWhy This RoleThis is not a typical PE role.
