This role focuses on operational execution and compliance while maintaining clear separation from cash disbursement and independent reconciliations.SALARY RANGE: $55,500 - $65,000/AnnuallyESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:Core ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing Support:Enter and process purchase requisitions in ReqLogic ensuring accuracy and policy complianceMaintain executed contracts and procurement documentationLiaise with departments to clarify purchasing requirements and proceduresCoordinate with vendors and departments to resolve purchasing issuesSupport purchasing-related training for staff and new hiresAccounts Payable Operations:Manage full-cycle invoice processing including PO matching, coding, approvals, and GP entryProcess recurring vendor invoices and ensure accuracy against contractsRecord prepaid and deferred expenses accuratelyReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesProcess student refunds and deposits in compliance with policies and regulationsRecords & Audit Support:Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation in SharePoint and accounting systemsProvide documentation and schedules for internal and external auditsPERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:Timely and accurate completion of assigned accounting tasks and reconciliations.Financial statements and reports are accurate, well-supported, and delivered by established deadlines.Effective communication and collaboration across departments.REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent in accounting or related fieldRequired Knowledge: Strong information systems skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and accountingExperience Required: Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting, auditing, or accounts payable experienceSkills/Abilities:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience dealing effectively with a wide range of peopleOutstanding customer service skills and desire to assist others; approachable; Excellent writing and editing skillsStrong initiative: able to take action and determine correct course of action to solve problems, complete assignments, etc.Excellent organizational skills; able to set and juggle multiple prioritiesFlexibility, able work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines and in pressure situationsAbility to work in person or remote as conditions warrantUnderstanding of accounting softwareWORK PERKS:College Closed for Summer FridaysTuition Remission or Tuition Exchange6 Weeks of Paid HolidaysBirthday Day to Celebrate your Birthday2-4 weeks of vacation based on longevity; 7 sick days annuallyMedical, Dental, Vision, Employee Assistance, 401K etc.
