This individual should possess a wide breadth of experience with cloud technologies primarily in AWS, networking, infrastructure technologies, and the Microsoft stack. He or she should be capable of working both independently and with the various teams, both internal and external. This is a key position providing engineering and support for an environment supporting both internal and external customers. Principal Responsibilities:Manage the company’s AWS services including designing solutions, deployment, monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of issuesAssist in managing the company’s networking services including designing solutions, deployment, monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of issuesSupport the company’s Entra ID services for identity and authenticationSupport the company’s Active Directory, DNS, SCCM, and other Microsoft productsSupport the company’s Azure services including monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of issuesParticipate in the planning, coordination, and performing of maintenance following standard operational proceduresDefines, implements, and maintains system configuration standardsDesigns, installs, configures, administers, tunes, troubleshoots, and optimizes Windows servers and related components to improve performance and achieve highly available systems in support of specific business requirementsProvide nighttime and weekend maintenance and production on-call support, as neededServe as level 3 support for troubleshooting operational issues and diagnoses, resolves, and communicates advanced level Windows server and client problemsResponsible for some communication with vendor supportPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications/Skills:A minimum of 7 years providing system engineering, operations, and maintenance in a large enterprise environment with a focus on cloud platformsA minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS, specifically from an infrastructure and networking perspectiveExcellent experience with AWS services: EC2, AWS networking, VPC, ELB, AWS Security, IAM, S3, Firewalls, EBS, Transit Gateways, Route53, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, and othersExperience with networking solutions: firewalls, routing, VPNs, access controls, and othersExperience with Entra ID services: SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, Passwordless authentication, identity management, and othersExperience with the administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, PKI, SCCMDesign, configuration, and implementation of failover support processes and servicesHas excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and proactive monitoring skillsIn depth understanding of server performance analysis and tune-upGood experience with automation and scripting, mainly in PowerShellUnderstanding of ITILAvailable after hours as needed for production support issues or planned system migration/upgradeAble to be on-call, respond, and act on critical alerts during business hours and after business hoursExcellent organizational skills, highly motivated, and a self-driven work ethicMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills for the system documentationExcellent time management, problem solving skills, and ability to handle multiple activitiesUnderstanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and FISMA security policies and proceduresStrong communication, teamwork, problem solving and organizational skillsAbility to work in a team environment with little guidance and supervisionPreferred Qualifications/Skills: Experience with Azure services: VMs, Azure Automation, vNets, Load Balancers, NSGs, Firewalls, Storage Accounts, Azure networking, Azure DNS, Containers, and othersCollege degree (BS or MS) in Computer Science or related disciplineAWS (preferred) or Azure CertificationsExperience with FortiGate firewallsExperience with LinuxITIL Foundations certification Location: Remote Status: Full time position with full company benefitsNOTICE: EO/AA/VEVRAA/Disabled Employer – Federal Contractor.
