About The JobA well-established real estate investment and development platform is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support financial operations across active development projects. This role will serve as a key point of coordination for development-related payment activity, budget monitoring, and invoice processing, working closely with senior leadership, accounting teams, and external partnersKey ResponsibilitiesReview, evaluate, and facilitate approval of construction-related payment requests for active projectsAnalyze contractor payment submissions, including standard industry forms, and determine acceptability for processingConfirm receipt and accuracy of required documentation such as lien releases prior to paymentCoordinate funding disbursements with the accounting team following internal authorizationSupport periodic internal reviews by assisting with development budget reconciliationsEnsure all required developer documentation accompanies payment submissions and follow up as neededAssess monthly budget adjustments, flag potential issues, and validate completeness and compliancePrepare expense documentation, meeting notes, and scheduling materials as directed by senior leadershipGenerate vendor invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and manage routine administrative coordinationOrganize, maintain, and distribute project files internally and externally using shared document platformsGather third-party invoices related to closings and development draws for timely processingReview and properly categorize incoming invoices before routing for approvalMaintain tracking logs of invoices received, approved, and paidSubmit approved invoices to accounting and follow up on unpaid items to ensure resolutionQualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting or a related discipline preferredExperience with development-focused accounting, including project‑based financial processesPrior professional experience at a real estate development or construction-focused organizationMinimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting or development finance experienceStrong understanding of development workflows, documentation requirements, and payment cycles
