Opportunity: RN - Acute Care Med Surg AdultJob Details: • Work three 12-hour shifts per week • Provide care on a 34-bed adult surgical unit • Nurse to patient ratio of 1 RN to 5-6 patients • Perform standard RPN III duties and skills • Provide surgical pre/postoperative care including abdominal surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains • Utilize equipment including vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps, WOWS/EMR charting systems, and Pyxis • May be assigned to float to other units as needed • Minimum 2 years of experience required with strong background in pre/postoperative nursing • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment • Regular nursing uniforms required • Must arrive Thursday before start date for Friday employee health appointmentFacility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility providing acute care services to the community.
