POSITION OVERVIEWFuse plastic gas pipe for gas main installation.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESFuse plastic pipeInstall gas mainsLocate utilitiesWork with Operators as spotterConfigure pipe routesAlign pipes in pipeline sections.Dig trenches with trenching toolsSlide pipe into trenchesGrade trenchesSeal jointsEnsure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levelsCover pipes or cable with dirt or other materialOther duties as assignedMust pass Fusion Operator Qualifications annually QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSFusion experience requiredMust be willing to travelClass A CDL preferredPreferably some farming or construction experienceEducation in Fusing and/or Gas and Utilities construction preferredExperience fusing and installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferredMust have a valid Driver LicenseMust be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift/push/pull 50+ pounds regularly
