Details 28-bed cardiac telemetry stepdown/intermediate care unit focused on all cardiac needs, including post-op care Level I Trauma Center serving a patient population of all ages Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6 Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring Night shift: 18:30–07:00 Up to 6 weekend shifts required as needed to fill department needs Holiday coverage required as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license (OK or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA only) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Cardiac telemetry or stepdown/intermediate care experience strongly recommended given unit focus Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address Two professional references required for consideration Copy of Driver's License required for consideration Skills checklist required for consideration Additional Information Implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-acuity environment Standard precautions and PPE required per facility protocol Local candidates may be considered; however, a radius rule applies and may affect pay rate eligibility — contact your recruiter for details American Traveler Job ID P-688067.
