Director Of Pharmacy ServicesThe Director of Pharmacy Services shall be responsible for the direction, management and administration of the Pharmacy Department. The Director of Pharmacy Services shall be responsible for ensuring personnel adhere to hospital policies, procedures and legal regulations. The Director of Pharmacy Services participates in an interdisciplinary approach to achieving the vision, philosophy and goals of Henderson County Community Hospital.Facility General Responsibilities:Attend facility new hire orientation as scheduled by HRComplete Department Orientation Initial Competency within 7 days of hire dateComplete Department Initial Skills Competency within 90 days of hire dateFollow facility and OSHA safety rules and proceduresRespect cultural and religious practices of patients from all backgroundsFollow HIPAA regulations at all timesBe punctual and dependable for assigned shiftsDress within the dress code requirements of the facilityIdentifies all patients using at least two identifiers verbally (name and DOB), and by checking ID braceletFollows Hospital Wide and Department Specific policies and proceduresMust interact with physicians, guests, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectivelyPosition Requirements: Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Certifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.Experience:A minimum of 2 years of hospital experience is required.A minimum of five years management experience in a hospital environment is preferred, but not required.Knowledge, skills, abilities:Demonstrates skill in communication, conflict resolution and human relations.Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.Must exhibit a team approach.Must be knowledgeable of fiscal, general healthcare issues, trends, quality management and other aspects of Pharmaceutical practice and standards.Must be proficient in both oral and written communication.Licenses/Certificates:Current Tennessee Pharmacy LicenseCurrent Tennessee Controlled Substance Qualification Endorsement
