The RoleThe Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of assigned Parks & Recreation projects (e.g., parks, community recreation facilities, aquatic centers, sports fields/courts, trailheads, and related site amenities). This includes managing, coordinating, and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and internal personnel to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with Willmeng’s quality standards. The Project Manager also provides oversight and support to the Superintendent and actively promotes Willmeng’s safety culture.What you will accomplishLead Parks & Recreation construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures while monitoring project costs and profitability.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and maintain project momentum.Process and manage subcontractor payments, change orders, and monthly cost reporting.Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders, leading meetings and providing regular status updates.Supervise and mentor project team members, including Superintendents and subcontractors, to maintain strong field coordination and performance.Review construction documents and specifications and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.Manage project documentation, permits, inspections, and closeout activities efficiently, including coordination with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and Parks & Recreation representatives.What we would like you to haveBS or MS in Construction Engineering preferred, or a BS in Engineering with relevant experience.3–5 years of Project Manager experience preferred.Experience with estimating and conceptual estimating.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and public-sector stakeholders.Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, and Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).You’re inspired by our valuesAltruistic - Our foundation is built upon the authentic, selfless concern we share for the success and wellbeing of others.Fair 360 - We illuminate with kindness by seeking to understand before being understood and by caring more than may seem reasonable so we can achieve genuine success for all.Strategic - The blueprint that guides the creation of a genuine place of purpose expresses the clarity of our vision, the rigor of our thought and the character of our word.Sincere - We present no facades, only genuine elevations of truth, trust, and wholehearted loyalty to the employees we mentor, the clients we serve and the communities we call home.Nimble - Our structural integrity is ensured through the balance of resourcefulness, responsiveness, and adaptability and strengthened by being well-rounded in the market to serve at the highest levels.Compensation Alongside cash, our total compensation package includes comprehensive benefits and 100% employee ownership.
