Journalist / Content Producer
We're looking for a journalism-minded Content Producer to help us turn what we do into what people read, share, and talk about. This role is about listening to our people, interviewing our leadership, and transforming conversations, videos, and thought leadership into a constant stream of compelling content that raises the agency's profile. You're a strong writer and a natural interviewer who knows how to find the story inside a conversation. Privately held and proudly independent, Ammunition is a member of Worldwide Partners, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's), and the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).DescriptionResponsibilities:Content Development & ProductionAttend, listen to, and review agency content - including videos, interviews, newsletters, and internal conversations - to identify story angles and repurposing opportunities.Interview agency leadership and subject matter experts to extract insights and develop original content across formats (articles, LinkedIn posts, newsletters, follow-up pieces, etc.).Transform short-form content (e.g., a 5-minute video) into multiple distinct, platform-appropriate content pieces without losing the original voice or insight.Maintain a consistent editorial calendar, managing multiple content streams simultaneously and meeting deadlines reliably.Write clearly, concisely, and compellingly across a range of tones and formats - from punchy social posts to long-form thought leadership.Editorial Strategy & Thought LeadershipDevelop a deep understanding of the agency's voice, positioning, and areas of expertise to ensure all content reinforces a consistent point of view.Proactively identify opportunities to create content around industry trends, cultural moments, and agency wins.Support agency leadership in building a visible, credible thought leadership presence - particularly across social media platforms.Use agency-approved AI tools where appropriate to support research, drafting, and content organization, while maintaining strong human-led editorial judgment.Collaboration & Client SupportWork closely with agency leadership to develop a sustainable content production rhythm that scales over time.Over time, support client content needs as directed, applying the same editorial rigor and storytelling skills to client brand voices.Collaborate with internal teams to surface stories, gather information, and ensure content is accurate and on-brand.Qualifications:You have a background in journalism, content production, or a related field - through a degree, professional experience, or meaningful internship work in a content or editorial environment.You have strong interviewing skills and a reporter's instinct for finding the story within a conversation.You are a fast, versatile writer who can shift comfortably between formats, tones, and subject matter.You have experience turning long-form content into shorter, high-impact derivative pieces.You are highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple deadlines with minimal oversight.You have a genuine curiosity about marketing, advertising, and business - and an ability to write about these topics in an accessible, engaging way.You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where the content strategy is still being built.You have a portfolio of writing samples that demonstrates range across formats, tones, and subject matter.
