We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall well-being of our community.ResponsibilitiesWorks at front desk of cancer center and oversees the check in and registration of patients to Include all requirements of registration paperwork, copay collection, scheduling, verification of patient contact information and all other functions required for services provided to oncology patientsAs the first person patient will see, acts as ambassador of front line service for patientsTravels to various MCI locations to provide front desk coverageGreets and welcomes all customers utilizing USA customer service modelAssists with patient flow and coordinate a positive patient experience throughout the check In processIndependently completes front desk responsibilitiesMaintains strong working relationships with administrative and clinical teamsParticipates as a key contributor to the JP Morgan patient satisfaction initiatives within the departmentCross-trains in multiple administrative support functionsProactively update patients on waits and delaysProactively identifies opportunities for improvement and facilitates problem resolutionDemonstrate maturity and professionalism with patients, staff and leadersCompletes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assignedAdditional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years clerical experience in a Customer service or healthcare setting RequiredComparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerThe University of South Alabama is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, age, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status or any other applicable legally protected basis.
