This individual will play a key role in validating REST-based services, ensuring data integrity across systems, and delivering high-quality software through comprehensive testing practicesResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute API test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform functional, integration, regression, and negative testing of RESTful APIsValidate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and error handlingTest bi-directional system integrations and data exchanges between applicationsAnalyze API behavior under various conditions, including boundary and edge-case scenariosIdentify, document, and track defects through resolutionCollaborate with developers, analysts, and project teams to ensure quality deliverablesSupport performance and load testing efforts as neededRequired Experience:5+ years of software testing or quality assurance experience.Experience writing and executing detailed test cases.Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and web services.Strong understanding of:HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)Status codes and error handlingRequest and response headersJSON payloadsIntegration and end-to-end testing methodologiesRequired Technologies:PostmanSoapUIJMeterPing APIvRESTNice to Have:SeleniumAPI test automation experiencePerformance and load testing experienceExperience supporting enterprise-level application integrations
