API Test Engineer

Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE. *About the role:* We're looking for an API Test Engineer to design, execute, and automate testing for REST-based APIs that support mission-critical, two-way system integrations. You'll focus on service-level testing, making sure our APIs are reliable, secure, and ready for production. *What you'll do:* * Write and execute test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios * Translate technical requirements into solid test scenarios across functional, negative, and integration testing * Validate API behavior around HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and JSON request/response bodies * Test for proper error handling across a range of conditions *What you need:* * 5+ years of system testing experience, including writing and executing test cases * Hands-on experience testing REST APIs * Solid understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), status codes (200, 201, 400, 401, 403, 404, 500, 429), request/response headers, and JSON payloads * Experience with Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, Ping API, and vREST *Nice to have:* * Selenium experience *Next Steps:* No C2C, relocation, referral, or sponsorship candidates for this role.
