Master Data Analyst

DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to accurately maintain associate master data and direct deposit information as well as the Rehire Appeals process. The incumbent will be knowledgeable on the pre-hire, hire and transfer processes so they are able to process and assist on any questions that arise from the business areas. The incumbent will complete specific verifications of employment requested by associates and outside businesses, understanding what can be handled internally and what should be directed to Thomas and Company. Finally, the incumbent will maintain the rehire eligibility process to determine whether an associate is currently eligible to reapply with the company or whether there is an ineligibility record that is stopping this former associate from being eligible.Responsibilities IncludeWeekly processing of master data actions (Hire/ Rehires, Transfers, Pay Rates, Direct Deposit, Name, Race and Gender, Birthdate, and Address) in SAPHandling the Rehire Eligibility Process to determine whether an associate is currently eligible to reapply with the company immediately or whether there is an ineligibility record that is stopping this former associate from being eligibleProcess incoming rehire eligibility forms for Employment Law & Investigations and other related business areasAnalyzing and completing verbal and written verification of employment requestsCompleting Verification of Employment requests that are processed internal and/or provide guidance to verifiers and/or associates on how to utilize Thomas & CompanyWorking with various systems, including SAP, EES, Applicant Management System (AMS), Host, and ViewStarCoordinating with other business areas (i.e. Payroll, Benefits, retirement) to ensure cross functional processes are handled appropriatelyAnswering calls regarding master data, AMS rehire eligibility, verification of employment and general department related policesProcessing direct deposit cancellations, changes from error reports and assisting associates with direct deposit enrollment questions and issuesFielding questions and requests from business locations and/or associates related to Hire, Transfer, Master Data, Direct Deposit and various general questionsSending Direct Deposit notifications for associates who are not enrolled in direct depositVarious other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and/or SupervisorRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma 1 year working in Human Resources or equivalent experience Strong analytical skillsAbility to organize and prioritize including the ability to handle a high volume of work accurately and efficientlyAbility to be detail orientedStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage highly confidential and sensitive informationExcellent human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player in a positive manner)Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, AccessBasic skills in OutlookWillingness to work extended hours including overtime, holidays, and Saturdays as needed to meet business needs Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in Human Resources or related fieldIntermediate knowledge of various systems used within Publix such as MSS (Manager Self-Service), SAP, ViewStar, Host, AMS and other custom databases, etc.One-year Publix experience working in Personnel, HR or an equivalent analytical related fieldAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionIntermediate skills in OutlookIntermediate skills with Thomas and CompanyAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, AccessBenefits InformationEmployee stock ownership plan that contributes Publix stock to associates each year at no costAn opportunity to purchase additional shares of our privately-held stock401(k) retirement savings planGroup health, dental and vision plansPaid Parental LeaveShort- and long-term disability insuranceTuition reimbursementFree hot lunches (buffet-style) at facilities with a cafeteriaVisit our website to see all of our benefits: https://jobs-beta.publix.com/benefits/Year End BonusTo reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
