Systems Test Analyst

Contract to hire opportunity available for a System Test Analyst This role centers on hands-on functional and system testing, with additional responsibilities in development support and business analysis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in validating system calculations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport product configuration, development, and end-to-end system testing within a web-based platformAnalyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and validation strategiesIdentify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issuesValidate system outputs using SQL queries and Excel-based calculationsGather and document business and technical requirements, including user storiesCollaborate with development teams during 2-week agile sprints using JiraEnsure system changes meet performance, scalability, and business requirementsPartner with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and overall system qualityRequired Experience2–3 years of combined experience in development, analysis, and hands-on testingAt least 1+ year of development experience (Java, .NET, SQL, XML, JSON, or similar)1+ year of experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and agile support1+ year of dedicated testing experience (test planning, execution, defect tracking)Strong SQL skills (required) for validation and data analysisExperience using Excel to build and verify calculation logicFamiliarity with Jira and agile workflowsAdditional QualificationsStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and validation of complex logicAbility to work independently and think critically through testing scenariosExperience testing transaction-based systems and workflowsAbility to create structured, repeatable testing processesStrong communication and collaboration skillsITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees.
