Bilingual HR Generalist

Position Summary:  We are looking to employ a Bilingual (Spanish) HR generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills. An HR generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. You will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, HR generalists should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training. Top candidates will be comfortable managing grey areas, effective at scheduling and methodical in the recruitment process. What you’ll do:Process injury claims with Worker’s Compensation vendorReview, process and file disciplinary actions, PTO forms, return to duty, new hire requisitionsAssist in dealing with Employee RelationsUp-keep the HR Bulletin boardsMaintain I-9 folders and assist with Employment ReverificationObtain requisitions with appropriate signatures and file them with CorporateWork with Corporate on posting new vacanciesEvaluate resumes for designated positionPhone screen candidates and build summary sheetsCoordinate with Manager and schedule interviewsBackground checking, chain of custody, and all pre-employment processSend offer letters, rejection letters and new hire packages including lab referrals for urinalysisComplete background checks and review resultsBuilding personnel folders for new hires, collecting and tracking all components of new hire applicationLead the new hire orientation process for all front line workersKeying in all demographics of new hires in HRISUp-keeping the Payroll Master File Changes DirectoryTerminating employees in payroll systemMonitoring time keeping and assigning badge numbers to new hires and temp workersDocument, file and adjust system when an employee is on an approved leave and when employee returns back to dutyAssist with updating HRIS systemsUpkeep I9 and personnel folders and ensure compliance with all applicable state requirementsUpdate w4 and state tax withholdingsMaintaining time and attendance records About you:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. 5 years minimum experience as Human Resources Generalist or equivalentStrong communicator with verifiable bilingual English/Spanish skills requiredExperience within food industry strongly preferredAn organized worker with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-taskAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityProficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and internet useMust live in nearby area with reliable form of transportationMust have a flexible schedule and working hours
