SummaryThe Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Strategic Project Manager in all aspects of project management including planning, execution, follow up and project closure. They will also be responsible for project communication to the team and across the company.Job FunctionsAssist in developing project schedule, scope, and objectivesTake and distribute project meeting notesAssist in following up on action items from meetings and maintain action item listsMaintain information in project foldersTrack and report project statusMaintain project Management spreadsheets (milestones, scope, objective, lessons learned)Manage smaller projectsProcessing and tracking of project related purchase requisitions Follow up on project related Engineering Change RequestsFollow up on project related drawing releases on projectsFollow up on material returned from customers that are project relatedHelp improve project management processes at DPGPerforming other duties as assigned or directedReading, understanding and following the company safety policiesSpecifications RequiredFamiliarity with Project Management tools and techniquesExperience working with customers and/or suppliersKnowledge and experience with Engineering drawings and process’sAttention to detail and accuracyGood writing skills to produce concise and accurate notes / communicationsAbility to apply knowledge effectively to new situations and opportunitiesSelf-starter with excellent time management skillsAbility to communicate and work successfully across the organization’s departments and external to the organizationAbility to work efficiently and independently and manage time wellAbility to operate at an advanced level in computer softwareAbility to be personally connected to others on the job, maintain a professional demeanor with a positive attitudeEducationTwo-year Associates Degree in a technical or project management discipline or equivalent experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels within the organizationStrong interpersonal skills - ability to thrive in a team oriented, creative, and collaborative environment.Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities.
