Android Developer

Overview In this role, you will develop high-quality Android applications and contribute to a fast-moving mobile team. You’ll translate designs into production code, optimize performance, and ensure a great user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to release features and improve testing frameworks. You’ll explore new mobile technologies to keep our apps current and reliable, delivering value to our users at scale. ResponsibilitiesTranslate designs and wireframes into high-quality codeDesign, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable codeEnsure performance, quality, and user experience of the applicationUtilize Git and Jira/Confluence to manage workCollaborate with peers, QA, Product, and Executives to design and release featuresWrite unit tests and work with QA to develop testing frameworksParticipate in code and design reviewsResearch and evaluate new mobile technologies, Android versions and librariesCoordinate with build/release engineering for feature delivery Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3+ years of Android development experience3+ years of Java experienceStrong knowledge of Java and the Android SDKExperience developing full Android applicationsProfessional knowledge of Android application deploymentProficiency with Android Studio or EclipseUnderstanding of proven design patterns and architecturesExperience with RESTful APIs to communicate with backend servicesExperience parsing JSON and XMLExperience with functional and behavior driven testingteam collaborationquality-focusedcross-functional communicationAndroid SDKJavaAndroid Studio
