This someone will help us execute & deliver our uniquely Virgin entertainment experiences that were creating for our sailors. Just a heads up, this is not a cruise directors gig!In other words, this someone needs to know how to Make Ship Happen. Your excellent leadership, attention to detail and self-starter mentality means you can think quick on your feet and keep calm when ship gets real. Ultimately, we wont be able to remember how we got by without you. This is a seagoing position onboard our Lady Ships.What You'll be Up To:Lead 100+ diverse peeps in the entertainment department; think management, cast, entertainment staff, musicians, technicians, and guest artistsOversea the creation and operation of the daily entertainment scheduleBe the steward of the department's budget and collaborate with our crew here @HQOversea the deployment of all digital content around ScarletBe part of our onboard Senior Leadership team and help us bring our Epic Sea Change to lifeSuperpowers Required:Minimum of 7 years experience as a manager in the entertainment industry with a wide knowledge of many genres of performanceMinimum 2 years experience in the Cruise IndustryExperience running a department and managing large groups of peopleExcellent written & verbal communication skillsExpert knowledge of theatrical/event jobsRock solid coordination, admin and organization skillsExperience in the management of large scale budgetsA self-starter, who can roll up their sleeves and make ship happen with little supervisionAbility to move mountains without relying on others to do the heavy liftingWork experience outside of the United States, in cross cultural settings, preferredBachelors degree in production, theater or management preferredWhat Matters to Us:At Virgin, your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do.
