Clean Harbors is seeking an InSite Operations Manager in the Trumbull and Stamford, CT area. track approvals, maintain weekly container inventory/inspections, and provide required waste tracking reportsEnsure proper packaging, labeling, and staging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance, including asbestos waste handling and time-limit trackingSchedule transportation and logistics for outgoing waste (truck scheduling, routing, shipping needs), and maintain communication between customers, drivers, customer service, and the central logistics teamIdentify and arrange outlets for nonhazardous materials; communicate the most cost-effective options to the Company Waste EngineerManage container and roll-off operations end-to-end: order and inspect containers entering site, place/relocate containers at job sites, field radio calls for movements, track container movements and associated PO’s, and perform minor tarp repairs as neededManage routine waste/debris services across the facility (front end loader, rear end loader, roll-offs, Teamster containers, etc.) and maintain service levels for WWTP biosolids movements (weekdays/weekends)Oversee third-party waste-related services including used oil pickups and vacuum truck support; arrange pickups for non-routine sites and designated weekly routesManage refinery recycling and special waste streams (concrete, wood, asphalt, contaminated soil, e-waste, offices/buildings), including inspection/verification of loads prior to shipmentManage and support the empty drum program (purchasing, sorting, cleaning, crushing) and participate in ordering procedures for containers and suppliesMaintain adequate levels of equipment for routine service needs and ongoing projects; ensure truck and roll-off equipment is maintained in good working orderScope special projects and provide estimates; schedule and manage resources efficiently to meet expected job profitabilityConduct facility-wide compliance audits and inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and regulatory complianceAssist customers with compiling data necessary for completing the Generator's Annual Report and other required reporting functionsPrepare monthly reporting on waste generation and disposal costs by stream; QA/QC invoices prior to submission for approval and provide explanations for month-to-month variancesProvide compliance information, maintenance, safety and permitting updates to Manager; participate in routine meetings with the Company Waste Engineer to review outstanding issues and/or accomplishmentsParticipate in weekly contractor safety audits; attend annual site-specific RCRA training and other required site-required training (i.e. Safety Training)Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules and observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesThis is an 8-hour/day position with occasional extended hours, holiday and weekend work for emergencies and/or other needs;
