Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Architect / EngineerLocation: Plano, TX (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote options available)Experience: 5–12+ YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect / Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments. This role will be responsible for architecting cloud solutions, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring reliability across mission-critical systems.You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, security, and product teams to enable cloud-native development and modern infrastructure practices.Key ResponsibilitiesCloud Architecture & DesignDesign and implement scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Define infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance policiesArchitect multi-region, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutionsInfrastructure EngineeringBuild and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)Automate provisioning, scaling, and deployment processesOptimize compute, storage, and networking resourcesDevOps & CI/CD IntegrationCollaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelinesEnable containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Support microservices and serverless architecturesSecurity & ComplianceImplement cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security)Ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability mitigationMonitoring & Performance OptimizationSet up monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.)Analyze system performance and optimize for cost and efficiencyTroubleshoot infrastructure and production issuesCollaboration & LeadershipProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teamsWork with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsDocument architecture, workflows, and operational proceduresRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineeringHands-on experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCPStrong knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, load balancers, DNS)Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)Preferred QualificationsCloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Professional Architect)Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestrationKnowledge of serverless architectures and event-driven systemsFamiliarity with security frameworks and compliance requirementsExperience in high-scale distributed systems
