This is an ideal position for experienced cardiothoracic surgeons seeking flexible, impactful work in Atlantic City.Required Skills:Board Certification in Cardiothoracic SurgeryFellowship Training in Cardiothoracic SurgeryActive New Jersey Medical LicenseBLS and ACLS certificationsProven experience in adult cardiac procedures, including CABG, off-pump CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, and pericardial windowAbility to work in a hospital-based, rounding settingStrong clinical decision-making skills and attention to detailNice to Have Skills:Prior experience with PowerChart (Cerner)Familiarity with Level II trauma protocolsExperience working with ancillary staff such as PAs, nurse practitioners, and intensivistsKnowledge of trauma and emergency cardiac proceduresPreferred Education and Experience:Medical degree (MD or DO)Minimum of 3-5 years post-fellowship clinical experience in adult cardiac surgeryPrior locum or temporary coverage experience preferred but not mandatoryOther Requirements:Ability to travel to Atlantic City, NJCredentialing estimated within 30 daysAvailability during the scheduled coverage period from June 1, 2026, to July 13, 2026Willingness to participate in call shifts (estimated 12-13 per month), with flexibility for night and holiday coverageThis role offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work in a vibrant, hospital-based setting with excellent ancillary support staff.
