Job PurposeResponsible for creating new mortgage loans and processing applications for purchase or refinance of real estate at clients Credit Union.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare pre-closing Loan Quality Initiative requirements, credit analysis and quality control of the loan informationProvide accurate closing and funding of our mortgage loans in all 50 states plus the Virgin Islands, using the Prime Alliance LFC systemServe in a backup role for initial member contact via incoming phone calls and for taking applications through our Prime Alliance loan origination systemRepresent the Mortgage Department in various Credit Union days, seminars and other special projects as directed by the management staff of the Mortgage DepartmentMeet deadlines and assists with production goalsPerform other duties as assignedThe selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.Minimum Qualifications• High school diploma or GEDPreferred QualificationsPrevious banking or Credit Union experiencePrevious mortgage lending experiencePrevious knowledge of Client, NCUA and AAFCU Mortgage Lending GuidelinesPrevious Residential Mortgage Closing and Funding experiencePrevious working knowledge of PC Software including Desktop Underwriting, Prime Alliance, and EpisysKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesSkilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the softwareAbility to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a teamSkilled in above average interpersonal and communication skills and professional telephone mannersAbility to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and writtenAbility to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plusAbility to work well under deadlines and high volume pressureAbility to work in a diverse work environmentAbility to quickly learn and adapt well to changeAbility to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detailAbility to maintain satisfactory performance and attendanceAbility to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checksNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
