WARRANTY TECHNICIAN

Warranty TechnicianWe are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Truck Parts Warranty Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warranty claims, inspecting parts, and ensuring compliance with warranty policies. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy-duty truck parts and excellent problem-solving skills.Summary of Essential Job FunctionsWarranty Claims Management:Process and manage warranty claims for heavy-duty truck parts.Review and verify the validity of warranty claims.Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding warranty issues.Parts Inspection:Inspect returned parts to determine the cause of failure.Document findings and prepare detailed reports.Coordinate with the quality control team to identify recurring issues.Customer Service:Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding warranty claims.Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of all warranty claims and inspections.Prepare and submit warranty claim reports to management.Ensure compliance with all warranty policies and procedures.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements in warranty management.Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry standards.Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall service quality.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training in automotive or heavy-duty truck parts is a plus.Proven experience in warranty management or a related field, preferably in the heavy-duty truck parts industry.Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and systems.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and customer service skills.Proficiency in warranty management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Work Environment:This position operates in a manufacturing environment.The role requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy parts, and working with various tools and machinery.Performance MetricsTask CompletionProductivity / EfficiencyQuality of workTeamworkDependabilityPhysical DemandsLifting and Moving: Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 lbs.Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse.Bending and Stooping: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to handle inventory.Operating Equipment: Safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.Manual Dexterity: Handling small parts and tools with precision.TravelNoneThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
