The organization emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and career development within a global environment.About the OpportunityThe Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data platforms and analytical solutions.This role leads technical efforts across data architecture, pipeline development, cloud infrastructure, and data governance. The position directly contributes to the organization’s data strategy by building reliable, scalable, and secure data systems that support business and healthcare objectives.Responsibilities• Architect, design, and implement scalable data platforms, pipelines, and ETL/ELT workflows.• Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives while ensuring system reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.• Mentor and guide data engineering team members to promote technical excellence and best practices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business objectives.• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Airflow.• Manage large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and workflow orchestration.• Optimize MSSQL and other database systems through query tuning, schema design, and performance optimization.• Develop and maintain AWS cloud-native data platforms and infrastructure.• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and operational reliability of data workflows.• Implement CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.• Design and enhance enterprise data warehouses and data marts.• Drive data modeling, partitioning, and performance tuning initiatives.• Establish data governance practices covering data quality, lineage, validation, and security.• Partner with stakeholders to define master data and reference data strategies.• Design and deploy responsible AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Data Engineering, including at least 3 years in senior or principal-level roles.• 4+ years of experience with MSSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.• 4+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and big data processing.• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud for data architecture and pipeline development.• 3+ years of experience using Python for data engineering.• 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow and workflow orchestration.• 2+ years of experience with data governance, quality, lineage, and security practices.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Salary range of $72,800 to $130,000 annually, based on full-time employment.• Comprehensive benefits package including incentive programs, equity stock purchase opportunities, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility.• 401(k) contributions.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
