Investigator 1 (MVI) Grant Funded
Field Investigator Conducts field investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on reported violations of MVI regulations. Conducts audits on internal records of MVI stations. Creates and maintains records of all investigations and reports. Daily public contacts as representative of West Virginia State Motor Vehicle Inspection Program. Interviews and interrogates witnesses during investigations and explains violations of law and/or MVI program guidelines. Performs related work as required. This is a full-time position with state benefits. Investigates businesses for proper licenses and cites for violations. Conducts field investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on reported violations; obtains statements concerning alleged violations. Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Experience as described below may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required training. Experience: One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in investigative work. Special Requirements: Possession of valid West Virginia driver's license and a successful background check. Pay Grade: 14 (39,461 – 68,582)
