SPORTIME clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year.LOCATION: Sportime QUOGUE, East Quogue, NYJOB SUMMARY:The Swim Instructor / Water Safety Instructor will teach Private Swim Lessons, Adult and Child Red Cross Learn-to-Swim and Infant/Toddler Swim Instruction. Lessons may be scheduled at our facility or at private homes.RESPONSIBILITIES:Private swim lessonsDeliver a 5-Star guest experienceMaintain a safe and healthy environment for swimmers at each location you teachPromote all aspects of the club and Sportime programsMaintain a log of lessons given, ensure swim lessons in scheduler are accurate and pull a voucher or take payment prior to each lessonDevelop and maintain cooperative work relationships with othersKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must have current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificationDemonstrate swimming skills consistent with an aquatics professional by swimming the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, sidestroke, butterfly, and tread water for 1 minuteMust have a flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings and weekendsAbility to work outdoors during warm summer monthsAbility to swim and carry adults to safetyMust have reliable transportation to travel to offsite lessonsExcellent guest service skillsWORK CONTEXT:In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications set forth above, this position requires physical activity, including but not limited to:Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, twisting and reaching using entire body and aUse of both fine and gross motor skillsSit and to stand for long periods of timeHOURLY RATE: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour for in camp instruction$50.00 per hour for private swim lessonsSCHEDULE: June 29, 2026 - September 4, 2026Monday - Friday 9:30am -3:30pm.
