The SQA engineer will develop, maintain and execute various tests across a variety of software and hardware configurations. This individual will help advance our automated testing capabilities. Testing will span proprietary mobile applications and backend cloud architecture. This individual will work with the QA team to expand and enhance test coverage while operating in an agile environment. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate any quality issues or concerns to the development team and stakeholders, advocating for necessary changes or improvements.Ensure quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved in the defect tracking systemDesign, maintain and execute test cases based upon information obtained during product meetings, discussions and customer reported issuesLeverage AI and other tools to automate testing systems to improve the effectiveness of a test cycleMonitor system performance and identifying potential issues before they impact internal and external customersPerform regression testing to verify defect fixesAnalyze test results and provide detailed reportsContinuously improve testing processes and methodologiesCompetency with integrated solutions that combine hardware, software and cloud infrastructureQualificationsBS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field4+ years of hands-on software quality assurance experience on mobile platforms, with an emphasis on iOS/iPadOS preferredExperience in building, maintaining and executing test plans using TestRail or equivalent test case management softwareDemonstrable ability in reporting, tracking and verifying issues using defect tracking programs; preferably using JiraProven track record of delivering high quality solutions on mobile hardware, that leverage features such as camera, location, and mobile workflows on iPhone and iPad devicesStrong analytical thinking and problem solvingExcellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred QualificationsExperience with public-facing frameworks, SDK’s, and API’sKnowledge of software/hardware/firmware developmentExperience monitoring large fleets of devices Aila Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
