Job DescriptionSeeking a Regulatory Affairs Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that can demonstrate organization, a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.Position Summary:This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of USDA-FSIS and internal food safety programs, including HACCP, Labeling, Nutritional, and Allergen Management. As a vital member of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, you will provide essential support for Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, and Product Development. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and food safety excellence. This role is on-site and occasionally requires flexibility to work weekends.Responsibilities:An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position.Key responsibilities include:Program Management: Oversee HACCP, SSOP, SPS, allergen management, and labeling programs, ensuring compliance with USDA-FSIS and internal food safety regulations.Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team, fostering professional development and ensuring timely project execution.Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on USDA regulations, including labeling, and nutritional requirements, and liaise with regulatory officials and consultants.Technical Support: Provide guidance on label approvals, research technical questions, and manage related database programs.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to address regulatory and technical issues.Recall and Training: Participate in or lead recall drills and provide necessary training to ensure team preparedness.Special Projects: Accept and complete special projects as assigned, with minimal overnight travel required.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.5 years of experience in meat or related food industry or equivalent experience.Prior supervisory experience.Excellent written and oral skills.Knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations and operations.HACCP CertifiedGood computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.Ability to learn additional software programs.Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.Preferred Qualifications:Experience or Training: USDA-FSIS labeling
