This role is a critical finance business partner to senior leaders, driving disciplined spending, high quality insights, and informed investment decisions.Financial Planning & ForecastingOwn annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and multi‑year outlooks for operating expensesDevelop bottom‑up budgets in partnership with functional leaders; challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with corporate targetsPerform variance analysis (actuals vs. plan/forecast) and clearly explain drivers, risks, and opportunitiesBusiness PartnershipServe as the primary finance advisor to senior leaders across Engineering, Marketing, IT, HR, Legal, and FinanceTranslate business strategy into financial implications and trade‑offsProvide data‑driven recommendations on headcount, program spend, vendor contracts, and discretionary investmentsCost Management & OptimizationIdentify and drive cost optimization initiatives while balancing growth and execution needsMonitor run‑rate, productivity metrics, and cost efficiency KPIs across functionsSupport make/buy, insourcing/outsourcing, and vendor rationalization decisionsFinancial Analysis & Decision SupportBuild and review detailed financial models for new initiatives, ROI analyses, and scenario planningSupport executive‑level reviews with clear, concise, and actionable financial insightsPrepare materials for leadership reviews, budget committees, and board-facing discussions as neededControls, Compliance & GovernanceEnsure OpEx spend complies with company policies, approvals, and SOX/internal control requirementsPartner with Accounting, AP, and FP&A to ensure accurate accruals, proper expense classification, and timely closeSupport internal and external audits related to operating expensesProcess Improvement & SystemsDrive continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processesLeverage financial systems and automation to improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiencyHelp scale financial processes as the organization grows and complexity increasesScopeFunctions supported: Engineering, Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, G&AStakeholders: VPs, SVPs, functional heads, FP&A, Accounting, ProcurementDecision impact: Direct influence on cost structure, margins, and investment prioritiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field8–12+ years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, corporate finance, or business finance)Proven experience managing large-scale OpEx budgets (hundreds of millions to $1B+)Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skillsExcellent communication skills with ability to influence senior leadersPreferredExperience supporting technical/R&D organizationsFamiliarity with SOX controls and public‑company financial processesAdvanced Excel and financial systems (e.g. SAP)This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
