Position SummaryNextCare Urgent Care is seeking aFull-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join our team inArlington, TX . This role is a great fit for a clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Our full-time providers typically workthree 12-hour shifts per week , with schedules released in advance and no after-hours work. You will treat patients of all ages, manage a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, and perform common urgent care procedures while being supported by experienced clinical teams, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and other procedures as applicable
Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
Code and bill services appropriately
Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
Practice in alignment with NextCare s clinical standards and values
Required QualificationsActive, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
NP: FNP certification through ANCC or AANP required
PA: NCCPA certification required
Active DEA license or ability to obtain
Ability to treat patients of all ages
Active BLS certification
EHR proficiency
Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered per policy
Preferred QualificationsPrior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and injury management
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced clinic environment
