Digital Printer Operator

Job Description The Print Production Associate will work on a wide range of projects where requirements will vary based on the job at hand. The Print Production Associate will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the print process and production side of each project. Print Production includes small and large format digital, apparel imprints, vinyl preparation and weeding and installations. Job Responsibilities Manage print jobs via RIP software and design tools Manage inventory of supplies and media and order when needed Clean and maintain storage and warehouse areas Perform all aspects of sign, banner and large format print & production process including vinyl plotting & weeding, printer operation and finishing (lamination and trimming) Maintain and clean printer equipment for optimal performance Step in and assist design department, as needed, with pre-press to ensure the best printing results. Keeping up with inventory and advising when supplies are needed. Perform production planning including taking measurements & testing vinyl on multiple surfaces to ensure application is viable Coordinate with staff to ensure all installation & production deadlines are met Responsible for maintaining excellence through the installation & production process to ensure high-level quality and craftsmanship for all projects Abide by and maintain all ABC Copy Co policies, procedures and standards of practice Requirements Understanding of large format printer operation, basic maintenance, and processes Understanding of RIP software operations Experience & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred 1+ years of vinyl installation experience with a good understanding of vinyl installation techniques Strong attention to detail fused with great multi-tasking ability Ability to read rulers and measure with high accuracy Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a group and operate efficiently in a time sensitive environment Must have the ability to lift and or move up to 60 lbs and stand/walk for full 8 + hour shift Ability & experience with using light power equipment/tools Strong verbal & communication skills Must have personal vehicle and ability to drive to off-site locations as needed (Driver’s license required) Will be required to work odd hours and occasional weekends as customer demands dictate Pay: $16.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Work Location: In person
