Located in Louisville, Kentucky, the company provides engineering solutions that ensure safety and operational efficiency within the pipeline industry.OVERVIEWCoordinates and runs MRP, MPS, expedites, enters data, and maintains inventory levels. Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for organization by performing the following duties. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Work closely with production, engineering and scheduling to determine material needs and address shortages (High Volume, Day-to-Day transactions)Run MRP and PRP daily to review customer and production requirementsPlace all PO’s for all hardware, seals, etc. for – Maintain PO changes, cancelations and ECNsMonitor inventory levelsMaintain/ Upload part Masters/Approve Supplier Part Pricing – Lead times, order quantity’s, safety stocks and pricing Track supplier OTD performanceCreate and release jobs including preparation of paperwork in PLEXAssist with approved vendor lists updates in compliance with ISO standardsAssist with annual Conflict Minerals auditBackup for Strategic Buyer as needed Other duties as assignedCOMPETENCIES:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.Must be able to use the personal computer and the various windows office software programs, which are used in the everyday operations of the company.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university· One to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job.
