Full-Time Front Desk/Leasing Consultant

Full-Time Front Desk/Leasing ConsultantThe Front Desk/Leasing Consultant supports the Property Manager and Assistant Manager in the daily operations of multiple assigned properties to ensure the financial performance and overall success of the buildings and/or apartment communities. Key responsibilities include:Leasing & Sales PerformanceConduct property tours and present floorplans effectively.Master phone techniques, closing skills, and follow-up procedures.Process rental applications and complete accurate verifications per rental criteria.Assist with lease renewals and ensure execution of renewal documents.Complete weekly leasing status reports.Conduct accurate market surveys including pricing, concessions, and competition analysis.Resident Relations & Customer ExperienceAnswer phone calls, emails, and respond to inquiries promptly.Assist current residents with requests and follow up to ensure resolution.Explain community policies during move-in.Plan and execute resident social events.Communicate clearly regarding work orders and delays.Marketing & OutreachSupport property marketing initiatives including outreach efforts and promotions.Prepare newsletters, flyers, social media posts, and email/text campaigns.Ensure tour path, show units, signage, and curb appeal are presentation-ready daily.Move-In & Move-Out AdministrationPrepare and audit move-in files ensuring all required documentation and signatures.Complete move-in procedures in management software accurately.Conduct move-out inspections, accept keys, assess charges, and document with photos and notes.Administrative & Office ManagementMaintain organized lease files and invoices.Manage and track work orders with proper documentation and follow-up.Ensure accurate data entry in management software (Yardi preferred).Complete assigned reports and administrative projects timely.Maintain professional office appearance and personal presentation standards.Other Projects and DutiesComplete additional projects assigned by the Senior Leadership or Regional Supervisor as the business needs may arise.Key AccountabilitiesAchieve leasing and occupancy goals.Conduct regular market surveys to ensure rental rates remain competitive and aligned with current market conditions.Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and prospects.Ensure accurate and compliant lease documentation and file management.Support marketing initiatives to drive qualified traffic.Maintain organized administrative systems and reporting accuracy.Consistently meets or exceeds occupancy targets, leasing goals, and customer satisfaction standards.Career ProgressionThe Leasing Consultant role serves as a foundational position within property management, offering opportunities for growth based on performance, leadership capability, and operational proficiency.Potential Career Path:Leasing Manager at a Larger PropertyAssistant Property ManagerProperty ManagerRegional Support or Corporate RolesAdvancement is based on consistent leasing performance, administrative accuracy, initiative, teamwork, and demonstration of readiness for increased responsibility.Position RequirementsCore CompetenciesThe Leasing Consultant must consistently demonstrate the following core competencies to successfully perform the role:Sales & Closing Skills - Ability to build rapport, overcome objections, and confidently guide prospects through the leasing process to secure signed leases.Customer Service Orientation - Demonstrates responsiveness, empathy, and a commitment to delivering a positive experience for residents and prospects.Communication (Verbal & Written) - Communicates clearly and professionally in person, over the phone, and in written correspondence.Attention to Detail - Ensures accuracy in lease documentation, data entry, reporting, and compliance requirements.Organizational Skills - Maintains orderly files, schedules, and administrative systems to support efficient office operations.Time Management - Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Problem Solving - Identifies issues quickly and implements practical solutions while maintaining professionalism.Professionalism - Maintains appropriate appearance, conduct, and ethical standards consistent with company values.Market Awareness - Understands local market trends, competitor pricing, and amenities to position the property competitively.Technology Proficiency - Utilizes property management software and office systems efficiently to ensure accurate and timely processing.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalentPreferred Property Management experienceLeasing experience is property management is a plusComputer, Technical & Equipment SkillsProficient in personal computer skills and business-related software including Microsoft office products and use of e-mailExcellent Communication Skills, both written and verbalExperience with Property Management SoftwareWork EnvironmentThis job entails moderate noise and clear vision.
