Cybersecurity Engineer - DLP

The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for performing services and activities to support various Information Security program deliverables. This role will focus on developing and testing the enterprise Data Loss Prevention solution and support Global Information Systems and Incident Response in troubleshooting and investigations as appropriate. The Cyber Security Engineer will also support the Information Security team in safeguarding Lam's information system infrastructure and associated business system, Operational Technology (OT) environments, and engineering/manufacturing environments.What You'll DoAnalyze Lam Research business objectives and security strategy and develop supporting DLP rulesEnforce data loss prevention policies across the company using technical preventive controlsDefine, develop, and execute processes to update keywords in partnership with LegalIdentify gaps in controls, processes, systems and recommend solutionsPartner with GIS and Incident response to tune the content detection rules to improve accuracySupport local leadership in the region on any information security issues, workloads or strategiesParticipate in cross-functional projects in both advisory and hands-on roles representing Information Security interestsDocument standards and procedures and train GIS and business unit support staff on themSupport security investigations in various systems directly or through service providers and maintain confidentialityDrive enterprise adoption of SASE by integrating security and networking services, enabling zero-trust access and seamless connectivity for global usersWho We're Looking ForSolid foundation in technical domains such as: Networking, firewalls, systems administration, cloud computing and information security best practicesExperience with Data Loss Prevention tools, including policy tuning and documenting supporting procedures and processesHands-on Experience with one or more DLP solutions such as Netskope or PurviewMaintain comprehensive documentation for DLP program and governance processesHave experience with reviewing and responding to DLP alertsStrong verbal and written communication skillsA self-motivated person that can use their creative and experience-driven analytical skills to solve problems and do analysisMinimum QualificationBachelor's degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline5+ years of experience in Information Security role2+ years of experience developing, reviewing, and responding to DLP alertsAt least one of the following processional certifications required: Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GMONPreferred QualificationsExperience within a global semiconductor company or equivalent industry experience preferredAbility to break down and understand complex problems, develop innovative plans to address themStrong people and team/relationship building skills, work with cross functional global teamsKnowledge and experience with Microsoft E5 security products (MDATP, MCAS, inTune, phishing, etc.)Knowledge and familiarity of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Switches, Routers, RADIUS/TACACS+, etc.)Knowledge and experience with security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Anti-Malware, DRM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, etc.)Knowledge and familiarity with Active Directory and Azure EntraKnowledge and experience with managing security at scale on Windows, Linux, iOS and Android based devicesAbility to communicate effectively, both verbal and written to a variety of audiences (immediate team, management, other business units)Our CommitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
