Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of custom automated machinery, tooling systems, and components. This role requires an innovative problem-solver with deep experience in industrial automation, custom machine design, and the ability to guide teams in delivering high-quality solutions. This is an onsite position based in Lee County, MS.Senior Mechanical Design Engineer’s Responsibilities And DutiesLead the design of custom automated machinery, mechanisms, tooling systems, and components.Drive continuous improvement of design processes by implementing best practices and industry standards.Integrate off-the-shelf and custom automation technologies, including robotics, actuation systems, sensors, vision systems, and peripherals.Coordinate project progress with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with budget and timelines.Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings to support custom design requirements.Senior Mechanical Design Engineer’s Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an engineering discipline.At least 10 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial automation or machine-building.At least 8 years of experience designing custom automated equipment.Proven expertise in automation and custom machine design with successful project delivery.Strong background in component selection, including actuators, sensors, vision systems, and motion transport systems.Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical design.RightClick is an equal opportunity employer who agrees not to discriminate against any employee or job applicant irrespective of race, color, creed, alienage, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, gender (including gender identity), marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship or any other characteristic protected by law.#IND123
