Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

Shift(s) Description: 5 days, Monday-Friday (8 AM-4:30PM) Ongoing Call: Office calls only after hours and on weekends Setting: Ambulatory clinic and OR coverageEMR: EpicKey Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care on a regular schedule, including call coverageDeliver comprehensive medical care and patient supervision across settings (clinic, hospital, or home as needed)Coordinate diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and referralsGuide and supervise nursing, ancillary, and support staff in patient careCollaborate with the Chief of Department on managed care delivery and clinical operationsWork with administration to ensure efficient, accessible, and high-quality healthcare servicesParticipate as faculty for residency programs and support medical students when applicableServe on the Peer Review Committee as neededContribute to standards of care development and adhere to clinical indicatorsSupport quality assurance activities in coordination with QA teamsEnsure compliance with hospital, local, state, and federal regulationsMaintain a professional, respectful, and patient-centered approachFoster a positive, collaborative work environmentTake initiative in additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadershipClinical Competency & Patient Care:Complete Age-Specific Competency Training within 12 monthsAssess and address patient needs across all age groupsApply knowledge of growth and development stages in patient careProvide appropriate care for:Neonates ( Infants (1 month 1 year)Children (1 12 years)Adolescents ( years)Adults ( years)Geriatric patients (65+ years)Submission Requirements:Active NY LicenseBoard Certified / Board Eligible in PM&R (Pain Management)BLS CertificationMinimum 1 2 years post-fellowship experienceEpic experience required
