Registered Nurse

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and responses to treatment. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients in various settings such as acute care, long-term care, and home health. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient tracking. Perform specialized nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care. Participate in triage processes in emergency or critical care settings. Uphold infection control standards and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or acute care preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to nursing practice. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience in specialized areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, or trauma medicine is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
