Job Full DescriptionCompany description:Working for a manufacturer that needs welding for industrial racksResponsibilitiesMetal Rack Repair and ModificationsWelding accounts for approximately 50% of the workAdheres to all safety rules and regulations along with theCompany's Standard Operating Procedures.Assess condition of racks returned from customer,Provides information for repair/modification quoteReads blueprints and weld assemblies to assure compliance to customer standards.Enters accurate quantities, material used and time into data collection system.Sets up equipment and welds parts by hand on automatic MIG welding equipment.Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.Conduct final inspections of welds and parts, making spot repairs to ensure stabilityOperates forklift to safely move materials.Requires some travel to customer sites to complete tasks.
