Junior Maintenance Technician

Summary The Junior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for day-to-day equipment operations at our two facilities. This includes preforming preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting breakdowns, repairing equipment and general buildings and grounds maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Will be required to handle pre - operational startups and error corrections. Responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance tasks assigned by supervisor are completed promptly. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. This position will require weekend work as needed for equipment installations, assisting with preventative equipment repairs, or project completion. Must be willing to become familiar with all Ducktrap equipment, this is a plant wide position. Must be willing to learn and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment needed to perform tasks. Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights that will require fall protection gear. Comply with safety regulations, GMPs and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Will be required to participate in the on-call rotation, supplemental weekly on call pay will be provided. Must live within 1 hour of the facility. Qualifications and Skills: Technical background preferred. Experience in a plant environment strongly desired. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Self-Motivated and willing/eager to learn. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
