Matlab Developer - Model based Development - Powertrain/HIL (Columbus)

Job Title: MBD developer Location: Columbus, IN Job- Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled HIL Test Engineer to support engine systems development and validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for simulation-based testing, validation, and documentation of engine control features using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical documentation including tuning guides, test plans, test reports, and certification documents for engine system features. Analyze problem statements and support system-level solution development for software change requests. Develop and review software requirements using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow. Build and support feature-level simulation models for validation activities. Perform software validation using Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, including both open-loop and closed-loop testing. Execute and support bench testing activities (remote access provided) to validate system functionality and performance. Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and verification of control strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow Hands-on experience in HIL/MIL testing and validation Understanding of embedded systems and engine control systems Experience with test automation and simulation environments Strong analytical and debugging skills Good documentation and communication skills
