Material Handler (2nd Shift)

Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and timely movement, storage, and staging of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods within the manufacturing facility. This role supports production efficiency by ensuring materials are delivered to the right location at the right time while following all safety, quality, and operational standards. Key Accountabilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against shipping documents Transport materials to designated storage, production, or shipping areas using appropriate equipment Accurately record material movements in inventory systems or logs Perform basic packaging, labeling, and palletizing of materials and finished goods Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards Follow all safety standards Assist with loading and unloading trucks when required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred Ability to read work orders, labels, and basic production documents Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification Excellent organization, time, and inventory management skills Basic computer or inventory system experience preferred Detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skill Ability to interact with internal customers in a professional manner Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods Frequently required to use hands and fingers for handling, grasping, sorting, scanning and operating standard warehouse or office equipment Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required to receive, inspect, and store materials Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment with training and certification Visual ability sufficient to read labels, documentation, and computer screens Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Pay Range $18.00 - $21.50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime. An applicable shift premium of $2.00 per hour is provided for second-shift work.
