Facilities Building Supervisor Archbold, OH $75,000-$90,000 The Facilities Building Supervisor oversees the comprehensive maintenance, security, safety, and general management of two distinct building locations. This role requires the active coordination of various external vendors—including landscaping, janitorial, snow removal, and security services—while ensuring that all site operations strictly adhere to regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Core Duties Direct and supervise all repair and maintenance tasks for grounds and office facilities to ensure rapid and effective resolution of issues. Guarantee that all facility operations remain in full alignment with established company policies and regulatory requirements. Perform routine site evaluations to identify areas for improvement and execute necessary upgrades. Oversee the performance of external contractors and trades to ensure that all projects are completed to a high standard and on schedule. Provide consistent facility support to address the ongoing needs of management and staff. Oversee the lifecycle of work orders, including the execution of preventive maintenance and routine inspections. Handle general maintenance tasks, such as painting, minor mechanical repairs, and furniture relocation. Keep stakeholders informed regarding the status of property conditions, maintenance progress, and upcoming projects. Partner with internal teams to manage the operation and maintenance of life safety, fire protection, video surveillance, and card access systems. Work alongside plant production maintenance staff to address broader building operational requirements. Support environmental, health, and safety departments by contributing to safety initiatives and programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours emergencies, making critical decisions regarding appropriate response levels. Help plan and manage capital projects, including office renovations and new equipment installations. Assist in budget oversight for repairs and maintenance to maximize cost-efficiency without sacrificing quality. Engage with local authorities regarding code compliance, permits, and safety or police matters. Foster a culture of safety by ensuring all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed by the entire team. Stay current with industry trends by participating in professional societies, attending workshops, and networking with peers. Cultivate a high-performing team by focusing on the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent. Manage employee performance and compensation by setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and supporting professional growth. Ensure organizational transparency by sharing key information through regular meetings and digital communication channels. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Two to three years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict budgetary and scheduling constraints. Capacity to work autonomously while fostering strong professional relationships with contractors, management, and peers. Demonstrated ability to oversee projects across multiple physical locations. Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, external contractors, and government officials. Willingness to drive cultural and operational changes that support company objectives. Stationary Engineer, CFM, or OSHA 10 certifications are considered a plus. Required Proficiencies Experience in facilities maintenance. Background in team supervision.
