The YMCA of Greater Richmond is hiring Summer Camp Counselors to join our energetic and supportive team!About the Role As a Summer Camp Counselor, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for campers. You'll lead activities, build positive relationships, and help make summer memories that last a lifetime.Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in daily camp activitiesEnsure camper safety and follow all camp policies and proceduresBuild positive relationships with campers, families, and fellow staffServe as a role model by demonstrating teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasmAssist with setup, cleanup, and general camp operations as neededQualifications Must be at least 18 years oldExperience of at least 6 months working with children or in a camp, school, or recreational setting requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredStrong communication and teamwork skillsEnergetic, dependable, and positive attitudeAbility to spend time outdoors and participate in physical activitiesCPR/First Aid certification a plus (training may be provided)Compensation Pay: $15 per hour , based on experienceFree YMCA membership usable at all area locationsWhy Work With Us?
